The Penn-Trafford quarterback-receiver combo of Brett Laffoon and Tim Vecchio was expected to be one of the best in the WPIAL this season.

Those expectations haven't changed after the Warriors season-opener.

Laffoon threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Joey Peduzzi on the Warriors' first play from scrimmage. Vecchio's first touch of the year was a 76-yard reception that led to a Laffoon one-yard quarterback sneak as Penn-Trafford beat KIski 52-7.

The onslaught continued when Jonah Lisbon powered his way to a 65-yard touchdown run. An interception by Tyler Bruno early in the second quarter led to a 22-yard pass from Laffoon to Bruno. Laffoon later hit Vecchio in the corner of the end zone to make the score 38-0, and the senior quarterback scored on a 24-yard scamper with seconds remaining to push the Penn-Trafford lead to 45-0 at halftime.

Laffoon ammassed 270 yards and three touchdowns through the air, and added 31 yards and a pait of touchdows on on the ground.

Kiski senior Tariq Gant ran for 106 yards and a score.
